Friends Scheme

We get by with a little help from our Friends...

YMT is all about the people. The young people who take part in our projects, the artistic people we work with to develop new musical theatre, and our supporters, the people who make it all happen. There are a number of ways to support YMT as an individual, whether by making a one-off donation, joining us as a volunteer, or signing up to our Friends scheme.

Become a Friend

YMT enjoys a fantastic reputation, inspiring young people across the UK. This success has been achieved against the odds; we receive less public funding than any other comparable organisation. Our dependence on support is ongoing and increasing. The actual cost of providing a place on a YMT production course is approximately twice the course fee in the case of productions and even higher for outreach work and to reach the least advantaged. We fundraise year round to make our courses as accessible as possible, but we need to raise over £250,000 annually to sustain the quality and range of opportunities available.

By making a simple, monthly donation, you’ll make a real difference to our work with the talented young people who take part in our projects.

There are four levels of giving in the Friends scheme:

Bronze Friend, £10 per month

Priority booking for our Christmas showcase - Let It Snow
Friends quarterly newsletter
Monthly e-newsletter, Communiqué

Silver Friend, £20 per month

All of the above PLUS...

Your name listed on all programmes
A pair of tickets to selected productions through the year
Access to the dress rehearsal for all productions

Gold Friend, £500 per year (£42 per month)

All of the above PLUS...

Invitations to pre-show drinks receptions
An invitation to our Summer Season launch event with our artistic teams
Annual report from the Executive Producer

Platinum Friend, £1,000 per year (£84 per month)

All of the above PLUS...

The option to support a specific production or initiative
Invitiations to behind-the-scenes meetings for flagship productions
Invitations to a range of patron events through the year
