Bella Barlow is a singer, composer and vocal coach. She trained at The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama gaining a distinction in her MA Musical Theatre having completed her BA (Hons) in Music at The University of Southampton and a DipLCM (Distinction) in Musical Theatre.
As a composer, her music has been performed throughout London and the West End. Predominantly, she writes as the composer in the musical theatre writing duo Barlow & Smith. In 2015, the duo were shortlisted for the Kevin Spacey Foundation Artists of Choice for their musical VANYA’S. They were commissioned to write new music for Olivier Award Winner Janie Dee’s cabaret, Dream Queen: Janie Dee and Friends at The Sam Wanamaker Playhouse, The Globe (part of the London Festival of Cabaret), and released their debut album Christmas In The City (produced by Ian Shaw) which is now available on iTunes!). Most recently they had their latest Musical VANYA’S workshopped as part of the Criterion New Writing Series at the Criterion Theatre.
Other compositional credits and musicals include: HRH the Queen’s 90th Birthday Celebration Gala (Royal Theatrical Fund – Theatre Royal Haymarket), The Next Step (HighTide Festival), The Game (St James Studio), Swann & Company Presents… (Edinburgh Fringe), Cinderella (Embassy Theatre).
