Here are all the details of our main summer shows for 2012

A Song for Eurydice

YMT is delighted to announce its most exciting season of summer productions.  Around 300 young people (actors, singers, musicians and technical staff) will be working with some of the UKs best creative practitioners to put together at least 8 exciting new productions across the UK.

Terry Pratchett’s Mort the Musical (2012)

29th August 2012 – 1st September 2012

Wildly witty and inventive, this new musical adaptation by Jenifer Toksvig and Dominic Haslam, based on Terry Pratchett’s classic Discworld novel is a dead funny treat for all ages.

Out There (2012)

19th – 28th July 2012

New musical Out There is a story for every generation. Writers Elliot Davis and James Bourne, former member of bands Busted and Son of Dork, reunite to create an out-of-this-world adventure with a pop and country twist.

Macbeth (2012)

7th – 19th August 2012

A bold reimagining of Shakespeare's play. Visceral and violent, a fusion of movement, live electro-acoustic instrumental music and Shakespeare’s classic text.

4th – 16th August 2012

Based on the true story of Cuchito Castro who forms an all-girl band with her sisters to escape both her father’s and societies expectations for her life, This is a brand new musical about finding freedom.

Tess of the D’Urbervilles (2012)

14th – 26th August 2012

One of the greatest romantic tragedies of all time, this version of Tess will harness all of Gerry Flanagans extraordinary theatrical powers to create a dynamic, inventive and terrifying descent towards her final excecution.
