Education

In the past few years we have developed a number of programmes, courses and resources for teachers, youth leaders, schools and communities to introduce and use new music theatre with young people.

The Music Theatre for All outreach programme introduces new musical theatre to secondary school age young people through a combination of schools workshops and non residential holiday courses.

Following a pilot in 2009 we will be assessing all of the programmes we offer through Trinity Guildhall music theatre group exams at Grades 4, 6 and 8 levels.

Our Voice Works course gives teachers and youth leaders skills in creating music theatre and using the voice safely when working with young people.

Our teachers resources currently include a pack of lesson plans that have been developed from the musical Missing Mel for teachers of Personal and Social Education. We will shortly be creating a music theatre library where you will be able to download scripts, scores and clips from some of our shows for use in your school or with your youth group.

We have also created a page of case studies so that you can see some of our previous outreach and smaller projects.
