Youth Music Theatre UK has an unwavering reputation for creating the brightest new musical theatre projects and courses, led by trailblazing creative teams from West End, Fringe, Repertoire and Broadway theatre. And in the year of our 15th anniversary, this is no exception, especially in the case of our Scotland Summer Camp taking place 6-11 August.
Having directed operas, musicals, and new writing for new plays, Matthew Eberhardt is looking forward to directing the cast of a brand new musical show, The Vampire Hunters of Glasgow, at YMT’s Musical Theatre Summer Camp in Edinburgh.
Instead of Opera North, Grange Park Opera or Opera Holland Park, to name a few, Matthew will be travelling to Edinburgh this August to direct the cast of our Scotland Summer Camp. An intense and creative course in singing, acting and dancing, Matthew will put the 11-17 year olds through their paces by directing them in a brand new musical put on in a week.
Matthew has directed Trouble in Tahiti (Opera North, Leeds Grand Theatre and on tour), Legally Blonde (Putney Arts Theatre), and is currently Assistant Director for upcoming West End show Kiss Me, Kate, which will also be playing at the Edinburgh Festival Theatre and Leeds Grand Theatre. He has collaborated with revered theatre artists such as Aletta Collins, Annabel Arden and Luke Sheppard, and is looking forward to leading YMT’s Scotland Summer Camp this August.
There is still an opportunity to BOOK ON to the Edinburgh Summer Camp to train under the professional guidance of Matthew and the other creatives, but book quick as spaces are limited! We also have camps in Hertfordshire, Leeds, Wiltshire, Surrey and London. If you are too old to attend any of our Summer Camps, but are interested in being trained by our industry professionals, consider booking on to our London Boot Camp (13-18 August for ages 17-21).
