We really do need your support!

YMT provides opportunties to emerging artists - those that shape the artistic landscape in the future! But we need your help to do so. From as little as £1 a month you can make a HUGE difference.

We receive support from Arts Council England, the teachers' union NASUWT and many other wonderful trusts, foundations and individuals, however, we still have to fundraise around £150,000 for the Bursary Scheme, supported places on Skills Courses, investment in new scripts and scores, our paid interns and voice and singing coaches. The Friends Scheme is part of that fundraising effort. It starts at a very low level (just one pound per month!) but if we have enough supporters that can make a real difference. Find out how your donation will support YMT’s work.

The Friends Scheme has four contributory levels at £5 per month (Join the Ensemble), £10 per month (a Supporting Role), £25 per month (a Soloist) and £50 per month (Centre Stage).

And there is even an introductory level of just £1 per month - The One Pound Plan!

If you have any questions about becoming a friend, if you would like to make a larger donation, or if your business is interested in sponsorship, please ring the office on

Addy Loudiadis’ Fundraising Gala

We request a donation of £2500.00 per attendee.

On Wednesday 15th of November, Addy Loudiadis and YMT are requesting the pleasure of your company at a very special evening. For one night only the doors are open for a select few to attend Kensington’s Private Palace of Art – Leighton House Museum. Here, you’ll be treated to hand crafted cocktails and a delicious, mouth-watering meal, before enjoying an immersive theatre experience with professional performers and a surprise guest. It’s all to raise money for Youth Music Theatre UK, the UK’s leading provider of musical theatre for young people.

Since we were formed in 2003, YMT has helped over 3000 young people achieve their creative potential by working with the creative minds behind West End shows such as Matilda and Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. Many of YMT’s young people have gone on to perform in the creative industries – people like Ed Sheeran, Sam Smith and Charlotte Ritchie.

Every year a quarter of YMT’s young performers need bursaries because they come from less advantaged backgrounds. They might be from single parent families or those affected by illness, mental health problems, financial difficulties or family deaths. Young people who are carers or come from migrant backgrounds or care homes also need more help than others.

Keeping theatrical training open to young people from all backgrounds is vitally important at a time when arts opportunities in schools are being cut… By joining us on Wednesday 15th November you’ll be raising money for young people who need these bursaries, making sure that YMT can go on nurturing the talent, confidence and skills of young people across the UK.
