The YMT Musical Theatre Library is now open

We are delighted to announce the opening of our new online Musical Theatre Library. This area of the YMT website is home to a selection of our most successful productions and makes them available to be licensed for performance by youth theatres, amateur groups and schools.

Since 2003 YMT has commissioned, or crafted through the devising process, over thirty original works to be performed by young people up to the age of 21. These musicals have been developed collaboratively by the writers and the young participants in the original productions. The Library is thus a testimony to the extraordinary creativity of young people who have been part of YMT (over 6,000 to date) and the talented professionals from within the music and theatre industries with whom they have worked.

The Musical Theatre Library is regularly being updated and more shows will be added to the website over time. Peter Pan- A musical retelling of JM Barrie's novel.

The Watchers- A modern British vampire story.

Frankenstein- A musical retelling of Mary Shelly’s classic novel.

Missing Mel- A moving and contemporary musical.

Great Expectations- A musical retelling of Charles Dickens' novel.

Grace Online- A postmodern operetta.

Fools Gold- A spectacular musical about envy, jealousy, love, hunger, passion and greed.

The Dummy Tree- A powerful and ultimately uplifting story.
