Paul Byrne

Before leaving full time teaching to pursue a variety of opportunities, Paul taught French, German and Drama at Lymm High School in Warrington, where he was also Head of Year in charge of nearly 300 students and 10 tutors. His classroom management skills continue to be put to the test as an occasional supply teacher and one-to-one tutor for Tameside Authority. Licensed to work as a tutor to child actors, he has worked on numerous TV shows such as  'Shameless', 'Waterloo Road', 'Grange Hill', 'Emmerdale' and 'Cranford', delivering a variety of subjects between KS 2 to KS 4. At university level, he supports students at Salford and both Manchester Universities, delivering one-to-one study skills and mentoring support to students in receipt of Disabled Student Allowance in his role as a Study Coach. His links with the Primary Sector are maintained via his role as Vice Chair of Governers at Grappenhall Community Primary School in Warrington.In addition, he works as an adviser for 'Teachers TV' and is an assistant examiner for Edexcel.
