Director

Luke Sheppard

Trained: University of Bristol: Drama BA (1st Class Hons); Noël Coward Trainee Director at Salisbury Playhouse; National Theatre Studio Directors’ Course; Leverhulme Trainee Scheme (YMT).

Luke is currently Associate Director on Matilda at the Cambridge Theatre and Singin' In The Rain at the Palace Theatre, having previously worked on the productions at the RSC and Chichester Festival Theatre respectively. He is currently directing From Up Here for Perfect Pitch and is developing a new play with Old Vic New Voices.

With YMT Luke recently directed Terry Pratchett's Mort at Greenwich Theatre which will now transfer to the Rose Theatre in Kingston. Previously for the company he has directed and chorehgraphed several Summer Skills and Music Theatre For All projects. He was also part of the original Force 9 and Half team, which played at the Edinburgh Fringe before transferring to London.

Luke was a JMK Award finalist in 2010 and 2011 and was recently selected to participate in the TS Elliot UK / US Exchange. He is the Artistic Director and founder of Take Note Theatre.
