Kieran Sheehan

 

 

London based Choreographer/Movement Director Kieran Sheehan graduated from the MA Movement Studies at Central School of Speech and Drama in 2005 having previously trained at London Contemporary Dance School and Guildford School of Acting. He is currently the associate artist of UpSwing and iceandfire performance company. For UpSwing he has developed a range of projects which have been shown at The Albany, Watch This Space (National Theatre) and Greenwich Dance Agency. Most recently Kieran directed dance theatre production My Name Is with established dance artist Paul Bayes Kitcher, currently on a North West tour of England (April - June 2010).  

In 2007 Kieran spent 3 months as movement coach at the Royal Shakespeare Company. Kieran Sheehan formed his own Dance Theatre Company (KSDT) in 2008 and in the same year won a mentorship with Kate Flatt awarded by the Bonnie Bird Choreography Fund. His independent work has been show cased at Greenwich Dance Agency, Jerwood Space and Arcola Space K. Kieran works frequently as a movement tutor in London Drama Schools most significantly holding the post of Head of Movement at the Actors Company, London Centre for Theatre Studies between 2006 and 2008.

Kieran is currently on the faculty of ALRA but has previoulsy lectured at  Arts Educational, Rose Bruford,Circus Space, East 15 and  delivered movement direction at LAMDA and Mountview.
